Granada

The wonderful city of Granada offers many delights, including the magnificent Alhambra and Sierra Nevada mountains, making this a fantastic destination for culture and football.
Where to stay

Mainly due to the Alhambra, Granada attracts over 2.5 million tourists a year so booking early is advisable. To make the most of the historic centre we would recommend staying anywhere close to the beautiful Plaza Nueva, Gran Vía or Plaza del Carmen which are just a few hundred metres from the Alhambra and 35-40 minute walk to the stadium (Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes)

If you'd rather be closer to the stadium then you're better off in the district of Zaidín.

How to get to the Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium

The stadium is around 2.5 miles from Plaza Nueva which does provide a very pleasant walk through the city.

Alternatively catch Bus 8  from Gran Via 5 to Pintor Maldonado 24 or Bus 4 from Gran Via 7 to Avda. Dilar 86 (both run regularly and take around 15 minutes).

Where to go before a Granada match

If you don't mind the walk, the historic centre has a number of good options, in particular Bodegas Castaneda, Bodegas Espadafor and Hannigan & Sons.

Closer to the stadium, El Estadio or Bar La Buena Estrella offer a more typical pre-match experience.
