Levante

Lavante are nicknamed the 'Granota' (frog) team and are the older of the two Valencian teams in the top flight, formed in 1909. They play at the 26,000 seater Estadi Ciutat de València in the residential area of Orriols.

Valencia is a wonderful city to visit, explore and enjoy with so many sights to see. There is a wide variety options of accomodation and the closer to the Cathedral in Plaza de la Reina the better as this provides a central position to explore the city.

How to get to Estadi Ciutat de València

The closest metro station to the stadium, Estadi Ciutat de València, is Machado on Line 3 and takes just 10 minutes from central stations such as Xativa and Colon.

It is just under 2 miles from the central Plaza de la Reina to the stadium which offers a pleasant walk taking 30-40 minutes.

Where to go before a Levante match

If you're happy to walk to the stadium, Plaza de la Reina and Plaza de la Virgen have some great bars surrounding the beautiful squares which provide a memorable backdrop for an enjoyable drink before the match.

The area around the stadium also has a number of bars to enjoy. Old Trafford bar has a great atmosphere before and after the match.

Alternative things to do in Valencia

La Malvarrosa Beach - Large sandy beach accessible by tram with a number of good restaurants lining the promenade.

City of Arts and Sciences - Superb modern architecture surrounded by reflective pools holding family attractions.

Central market - Beautiful building holding a large, vibrant market.

Cathedral Bell Tower - Climb to the top for magnificent views of the city.

Albufera National Park - Under an hour from Valencia city centre by bus 24 or 25 to this magnificent nature park and beautiful lake.
