Atlético Madrid

Madrid has it all - great nightlife, culture, bars and sunshine almost 300 days a year. Combine this with a visit to a fantastic new stadium to watch one of Spain's loudest and proudest clubs and you can almost guarantee an unforgettable experience.
Where to stay

The Wanda Metropolitano Stadium is around 5 miles from the city centre with very little to do close by so we would recommend staying in any of the central areas (Puerta del Sol, La Latina, Gran Vía or Plaza Mayor) as these would all provide a good base to make the most of the city and travel to the stadium on match day using the information below.

Getting tickets

The Wanda Metropolitano has a capacity of 68,456 and tickets are available through Atletico's website below.

How to get to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium

Estadio Metropolitano Metro station is on Line 7, located straight outside the stadium. You can also use Line 2 and get off at Las Rosas or Line 5 Canillejas, from these stations it takes around 20 minutes to walk to the stadium.

A taxi from central Madrid should cost around €30.

Where to go before an Atlético Madrid match

As you'll face the time and distance to get to the stadium, you have a wide choice of places to go before the game. A good option is to head to La Latina which has numerous quality bars around Plaza del Humilladero and the most famous tapas street in Madrid, Cava Baja. This area is also buzzing at night.

From La Latina Metro station you can take Metro Line 5 to Pueblo Nuevo, change to Line 7 and continue straight to Estadio Metropolitano.
